What is My VFW WebCOM?
My VFW WebCOM is your chance to get involved in the VFW WebCOM
Network and support the Veterans of Foreign Wars Organization. Up
to this point, your options for interacting with the network were
limited to commenting on news stories and joining in discussions in
our
Membership Forum.
You can still do those things on the sites in the VFW WebCOM
network, but now, with the help of My VFW WebCOM, you can
contribute to the community even more. You can:
- Set up your own profile and add apps to personalize your page
- Make new friends or find old friends
- Upload photos or videos from VFW events
- Join groups
- Write your own blog entries
- Chat
- and much more.
What My VFW WebCOM is Not
My VFW WebCOM is
not a replacement for your post weblog in
the VFW WebCOM Network. Although a smart blogmaster might use some
of the tools (like the ability to embed photos, videos and audio)
found on My VFW WebCOM to enhance the localization of the
weblogs.
My VFW WebCOM is part of the Department-sponsored VFW WebCOM
Network but is not authorized in any way by the national Veterans
of Foreign Wars organization. This is an unofficial website for
members, auxiliary members and non-member supporters of the
organization. Please keep in mind that your actions on this network
will reflect on both you and the organization. Unacceptable
behavior will not be tolerated or condoned.
What is the VFW WebCOM Network?
It's only the largest managed organizational weblog network in the
world.
