U.S. Army 1969-1971, 1 year in Vietnam(Aug'69-Aug.'70), Americal Div. 11'th Brigade. 3 /1 Inf.
Worked off of Firebase # 411, T.D.Y'd to Saigon with the M.P. 716th Unit as security guard last 6 weeks.

My Post supports a Hospice program that seeks Veteran Volunteers to befriend Veterans @ VAMC Brockton, MA who are in Palliative Care.
My friend Chris Finelli arranges for these men to receive a fleece blanket, embroidered with their Unit Patch during a visit from a fellow Veteran.
We want no veteran to die alone. These patches of my family were among those used initally. However none of us imagined the attachment the Veterans felt regarding "THEIR" patch
