Its good of you and your wife to take time and pray for me and my family and it's good to have someone to talk to it makes it a little easier knowing that there are people in the world who really care and listen. My Dad was one of those people. He was born in a small town in Arkansas and was only 15 when he came to Chicago and met my mother. They were married by the time he reached 18 and he was drafted into the Marines at 19 with a baby girl and one on the way I can't imagine how rough it was for them but they never complained. I was born after he came home in 48 and his fourth daughter but the only one he was able to enjoy from the moment I was born we were pretty close. In fact I remember being spoiled by all my uncle's too. My mother and all four of her sisters were married to service men and all but one came home after the Korean war. My mother's brother didn't make it back. Well I'm rattling on again. Just wanted to say thank you and God Bless you and yours.

Hi Fred I'm glad you're over the it and well enough to go out. Got the boot from my job May 8th one month after moving to my first home and 4 years shy of retirement. Company had to downsize because of the economy. Really don't know what will happen next. Never thought I'd own my own home and never thought I'd lose my job. I live with my daughter who works for Walgreens and collect unemployment for now. A little scared of what the future holds for us. This year alone 6 out of 8 of my brothers and sisters lost their jobs and only one was able to get early retirement benefits. It's a crazy time for all. At first I was angry 24 years with the same company and no warning just called in and told that they can't afford to keep me anymore. Now I rely on my prays that something will come up so that my daughter and I can stay here. It's so much different out here in Montgomery IL (peaceful). Chicago was well you can imagine from apartment to bus to work five days a week. Weekends shopping and cleaning Sunday church and rest. Vacations well let's say I never left Chicago couldn't afford to travel. I guess it was hard but like everything else you get use to it. Savings went to put a down payment on this house and the move. So here we are finally enjoying the good life for how long only God knows. For now I'm going to appreciate it I worked many years raised three children on my own since they were babies maybe I'm due a miracle just got to keep a positive outlook on this whole situation. Bet you weren't expecting any of this. Hope it doesn't keep you from writing to me cause I really do need someone to talk to. Now the eyes are getting teary gotta go before I say something stupid. Hope to hear from you again.

Hi Fred thanks so much for replying to my message. I thought this would be easy but it's kind of hard thinking what to say. So I guess I just wanted to say thank you for acknowledging me.
