I have noticed a lot of posts across the VFW have groups or fanpages or just an account on Facebook and I have some thoughts to share on that. National encourages it and there is nothing wrong with using facebook but the reality is this.
Only the members of the group, followers of the fanpage or friends of an account see the posts(news, announcements, photos) that are there. Merely because Facebook has 600 million users does not mean that all can see everything. Facebook entries do…

Are you or your post using the free VFW Webcom website? I have been using ours since it first started several years ago and it has been great. It really does help communicate with local veterans and the community. Have even recruited new members from using it. If no one at your post is using it when why don't you lead the way?
