Meeting for the AVTT Wall coming to Detroit Bike Week July 24-28, 2013

Hello Everyone,Detroit Bike Week is pleased to be hosting the return of the AVTT Wall in July of 2013!We are in need of volunteers and committees to help plan and organize all of the events surrounding the Wall's presence in Michigan.  There are several ceremonies that will take place over the course of the weekend - the escort, the Ride of Honor, prayer services, Color Guard, singing of the National Anthem and other patriotic songs, sponsorships need to be established, etc.Please join us for…See More

I am the Director of Volunteer Services for Detroit Bike Week which is going on it's fourth year and is held at the Multi Lakes Conservation Association in Commerce Twp, MI.

We are going to be bringing in the AVTT Wall next July 24-28, 2013 and we are looking to the area VFWs and American Legions to help us out in organizing the ceremonies and volunteers that are needed once the wall is here.

We would like to attend as many meetings as possible to let the area posts know about The Wall coming to Michigan next summer and to get involved as much as they can.

We will be holding a meeting for all of those interested in being involved on Monday, Oct 29, 2012 at 7pm out at Multi Lakes Conservation Association. Multi Lakes is located at 3860 Newton Rd, Commerce, MI 48382. The meeting will be held in the Clay building which is just behind and to the right of the main clubhouse.
