Did you join your local post or join online? There are a number of reasons for the delay in receiving your membership card possible. 1. All new membership applications to the post must be voted on to accept at the next regularly scheduled meeting. 2. Quartermaster forgot to send it in. But there are no acceptable answers to why they cant tell you the status. Post Quartermasters now have the means to add new members applications online through VFW Membership services and the card is sent the next day. If they send by snail mail instead it can take quite some time.
If you joined online with National then you are a Member-at-Large and would have had to pay with a credit card. If you joined that way has the bill came through yet. Also if you joined online you can call 1-800-963-3180 and inquire through the membership department but if you joined the post they will be unable to provide any answers. Join me in the chat room on the main page if you have any more questions. Cheerily
