I know about "alone." Since the death of my partner of over 63 years I have found solace wondering how to please a marvelous young dog, equipped with a Food Time clock, an Errant spider inhabiting my bathroom wash bowl and an Elegant Silverfish awaiting my breakfast derbies discarded in the sink.
The worst is recalling a son who went to Nam. Returned as a stranger..
