Any male members out there? What are your thoughts and feelings about the new organization. Myself, I miss the MA, was able to get more accomplished with less hassle, and miss my cap

This post is a notification to all Service Officers. It also poses a question.
As a Veteran’s advocate, I am in possession of a signed VA form 21-22a from my ‘client’. Submittals to the VA and TRICARE have been postal-tracked and faxes confirmed.
As directed, I called TRICARE Overseas Program / Wisconsin Physician Services, Madison, Wisconsin concerning a number of issues.
The telephone representative found ‘Oscar’s’ file, as well as…

Where are my fellow Veterans? Those who went to Iraq or Afghanistan?
This is a personal challenge to those veterans! The VFW in your community needs your help and we can not do it without you. Your ideas, your active lifestyle, your knowledge, and your ideas. You want to ask well what does the VFW do? That is a good question. We are an organization the works with veterans and their family. We participate in the community, hold regular meetings, We train and have service…Continue
Every week I receive a membership showing the number of renewals and where we are, in membership, compared to last year.
It is a dismal report, to say the least, and is not something I look forward to receiving.
Soon to follow is the Emails and reminders stating that all I need to do to reach 100% is this specific duty or visit posts, or just follow these simple guidelines.
There is nothing on how to handle Posts with 15 members or less that live…Continue
I guess each State at this time will have a say if the Men's Auxiliary will exist after August of 2016. Am I right or wrong on this. I have been told that there will still be a fight to keep the Men's Auxiliary this year at the National Convention. also I have been told that each State will have a say on weather we survive or not.
Happy New Year Everyone.
This is my first blog posting as I begin to learn how to use and utilize the features available on this wonderful website. I've already posted some photo and I can see the potential benefits and how it can help our organizations. And with it being free... the COST CAN'T BE BEAT!!
Just began to browse and connect to some of the other members in the world-wide my.vfwwebcom network and checked some of their blogs and some of the forums and have already…Continue
We have started our change Over to Auxiliary and will be complete in about 2 to 3 weeks. How many others have changed over
I'm new here and this is my first Post. Question is, do any Posts observe September 29th, the anniversary of when the VFW was established in 1899. This year will be the 116th Anniversary. Just looking for some ideas of what other Posts do on this date, if anything.
So over 3 year's of being President of Men's Aux at Post 8567 in Graham,Texas and all the Officers that have served proudly under me, This is all coming to and end and we will now be known as Auxiliary, ok we will have to fill out new applications, and then we have to get accepted in to Auxiliary this don't bother me but how many men will join this Auxiliary. I for one will fill out new application so we can keep doing the work we have done for our Veterans in the past.We can stand side by…Continue

Hello - I am a member of the Heritage Springer Owners Association (HSOA). We are running a cross country relay ride honoring four fallen heroes. We would like to have VFW motorcycle unit assistance in those areas where our membership is sparse. Any help is appreciated. The memorial package is in San Diego, CA as of 4/4/2015.
Here is a link to the public page on our forum with details on the memorial relay.…Continue
Rules About the VFW Cover
It seems there are a lot of comments about wanting to wear ball caps and other headgear at VFW Functions. We often hear; “Well, its in the By Laws”.
The reply ; “WHERE!!!”
In a very under read section – The VFW Ritual, General Rules, Page 3; (d) Official caps will be the only head covering allowed to be worn at regular meetings of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United…Continue

I remember growing up in a small east Texas town named Marshall. It was a grand time to be alive and growing. I couldn’t wait until I graduated high school and could get out of town and make my mark on the world.
If you had asked me what my plan was, I couldn’t tell you. I just wanted to leave the small hick town and get away from everyone where I could be free. I was also getting into…Continue
I am very intrigued and concerned regarding the rumors that the Men's Auxiliary of the VFW is going to be done away with. I know from just my state, (Colorado) and district, that the "Men's Auxiliary" is another support vessel for the Post and does great things for it. I have heard rumors of why this is possibly taking place and honestly it makes me sick to my stomach to hear the reasons why this may be happening. To do away with it and/or merge it with the Ladies Auxiliary take away from…Continue
