BENEFIT POKER RUN FOR OUR VETERANS

Added by Kathie Reichenbach on July 21, 2014 at 8:33am — No Comments

I need your help! More veteran responses for my dissertation survey about online and offline social support for veterans needed.

Hello fellow veterans!

My name is Hannah C. Pedersen and I am an Army veteran and doctoral candidate at Washington State University in the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. I am reaching out to as many veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces as I can find for my dissertation study about social support and veterans. The purpose of my research is to identify how social support may help veterans in both online and offline environments.

This is an Institutional…

Writing a big paper about the benefits of belonging to the VFW. In need of members willing to take a 5 minute survey.

Hello! My name is Kristen. I'm a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, and am gunning for a job helping veterans after college. I'm working on my bachelors, focusing on military personnel. Anyway, I have to administer a survey to VFW members for my final project to graduate. My post is small, so I was wondering if I could get some help from members in other areas. The survey just asks about benefits gained from being a member, five minutes max. All people would have to do is click on a link…

War Museum and MIA memorial

Good Day

I want to create a War Museum and an MIA Memorial in Memphis TN. Cannot believe we do not have one. Anyway, I am the Director of a 501-C3 and have title to the Castle in Memphis on Central Ave in Midtown. I am reaching out to see if anyone locally or wherever would assist my efforts. You can view the Caste online by google search. Ashlar Hall Memphis or The Castle Memphis. Beautiful hoe circa 1886, but in disrepair and needing a cause.

I would like to create a… Continue

Motorcyle Ride for raising funds for VFW

Has anyone ever done anything like this? And what are the rules and is it allowed? I am trying to think of new ideas to bring to the table. Especially if I am going to be the Senior Vice! I know there is a lot of work involved, safety issues, but I know it would work with a little bit of hard work!! And people who would be supporting me as well!!

Family uniforms.

I just wanted to say hello to all. My grandfather was in the V.F.W. in L.A. He passed away a few years and always wanted me to join. The main reason that I am posting this is that I have recently come into the possession of the U.S Army uniforms from my great grandfather in WW I, my grandfather during WW II, my father during Vietnam, and my uniform from Desert Shield/Storm. I would like for people to be able to see them. I was just wondering where anyone has any suggestions.

Thank…

Military Funeral Ceremony

The point of a Military Funeral, a U.S. folded flag is presented to the next of kin. Now the question: some in our post members say the supporting group (Riflemen, Flag Barriers, Etc) are to be at "present Arms" when the Flag is being presented to the next of kin. I cannot locate this in the Manual of procedures, nor have I ever witnessed this in any process in the past.
