Strangest thing happened today. My window on my truck broke. I can't get it fixed untill tuesday. No one seems to be working on Sunday to repair auto glass. What kind of luck do I have. All I did was close my door and the glass busted. Oh well, life goes on.

The Great Betrayal

On this sixth anniversary of America's invasion of Iraq, there is finally a consensus among supporters and opponents that we've won the war. The surge that Bush launched and Democrats opposed has been successful and, as a result, Iraq has become a Middle Eastern democracy, an anti-terrorist regime, and an American ally. It would be hard to imagine a more remarkable… Continue

Well last weeks meeting went well as well. I am really liking the VFW. Only question I have is, when does the Post talk about all the things that the post does, IE planning. I guess I will ask this at the next meeting. The meeting went buy fast and I had additional time to talk to some of the old cadre. Starting to warm up to me a bit, getting use to my face and are finding out that I am just not a fly by night member. I look forward to the next meeting, just wish there was more. Time will iron… Continue

I’d like to tell you a soldier’s story.
There was this guy a long time ago at the age of 17 who went to war. Didn’t like the thought of it very much, never thought in 1939 he’d ever have to kill someone or in 1943 wind up at a place no one, not even he, knew of its existence.
But he did have to kill people to defend an idea and to protect our freedoms. And he did go to a place that all who have been there in winter, past or present, refer to it as a living… Continue

My good friend Major Pain over at One Marines View,
