How can a person stay involved in VFW affairs when the city you are in does not have an active VFW post.  The city of Montgomery is a military and college town and does not have an active auxillary.  What a person to do?

Looking for help for Veterans Day

I am a retired Marine that was wounded multiple times and spent over a year in the hospital. also lost over 25 close brothers due to both conflicts. Veteran Memorials

I am trying to get local Veteran interest since the projects are to honor their service.  As a veteran I enjoy providing these services.  We create free memorial websites which can include photos, music, etc.. Soldiers Angels Adoption

I adopted a soldier who is serving in harms way. This time I had an email and he replied the following day. "this place is hell on earth in my opinion". God bless our troops. Those of us not there must use the imagination...like at a horror movie only it's real  Soldiers Angels

Meeting for the AVTT Wall coming to Detroit Bike Week July 24-28, 2013

C-141 Tail Number 60177

C-141 Tail Number 60177 was the last of the 285 C-141's built by Lockheed to leave active service. She flew 100 POWs out of Hanoi on 12 February 1973, some of them tasting freedom for the first time in six years. Scam "vet" organization is running around Jacksonville, FL...be alert
'Veterans Support Organization", they are a 501 (c) 3 but they keep 2/3 of the donations for themselves.

VFW WebCom Websites versus Facebook

I have noticed a lot of posts across the VFW have groups or fanpages or just an account on Facebook and I have some thoughts to share on that.  National encourages it and there is nothing wrong with using facebook but the reality is this.

Only the members of the group, followers of the fanpage or friends of an account see the posts(news, announcements, photos) that are there.  Merely because Facebook has 600 million users does not mean that all can see everything.  Facebook entries do…

slight problem

have been voted in as chaplin.and have told post to remove pornography from mens room on walls. they said they have to vote on that.they said its been there since begining of post.3/4 want it others dont care. what would be the proper way to address this? just let it go? Iam seriously considering to tell them i will not accept the office of chaplin. please help thank you.
