Wonderful 4th of July. Once again I carried the National Colors for our post in the 4th of July Parade. Once again it was a lovely day to get out and celebrate the birthday of our great Nation. One thing that disturbs me is the lack of respect the youth of todays has for our flag. Not only is it the youth but some adults too. There are alot of people these days that do not stand when the National Colors pass by when we are marching in the parade. It disturbs me so much to see that. I was raised to stand and honor the flag of our great nation and what it stands for. What has America become? I will continue to serve in any way shape or form to praise this great nation and serve her any way I can. God Bless America.

Great job Nathan. I have also noticed that very thing while marching in parades in the Color Guard. Sometimes though when you see that solitary old man stand out from the crowd and salute it brings a smile or when one notices the young man and his family and he has his young children with their little hands over their hearts it also brings a warmth to mine. Look for the positive and know that there are those out there that believe as we do. Do not let the ignorant discourage you - lead by example.
