To the Veterans of the Thomas Mihalis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1079,
Throughout all wars we enjoy many blessings that result from the sacrifices of the men and women in uniform that have risked their lives to defend our freedoms. My family has a lot of appreciation and gratitude for those who continually fight for our freedom. We would like to take the opportunity during this Christmas season to make a donation to the Veterans of the Thomas Mihalis Post 1079. Also, to honor the past, present, and future veterans that serve this great country.
We are also making this donation to honor my great uncle Thomas Mihalis and my great aunt Velva for their patriotism and dedication to boost morale for hospitalized veterans in your area.
My wife’s father and my father have both served honorably in times of war. I have never had the honor of serving my country, but in a small gesture, my family would like to make a contribution to donate hams for Christmas to the veterans of Post 1079.
In these days of uncertainty and terror, I am reminded of a quote from a famous President during a time which the world was on the edge of a dangerous precipice :
“The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it, and one task we shall never choose and that is the path of surrender or submission. Our goal is not the victory of might, but the vindication of right – not peace at the expense of freedom, but both peace and freedom.”
Values important to us are God, country, and family. They are what make fighting for freedom important.
As the bells of Christmas ring … let also Freedom ring.
Thank you for fighting for our Freedom.
Merry Christmas and God Bless the United States of America.
