My VFW WebCOM

A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

To all My Marine Corps Family and Corpsmen

Mornin to one All -- As most know tomorrow 10 Nov 2008 will be the our USMC 233rd Birthday, and as this, another Marine Corps Birthday rolls by and another year of glory for the My Beloved Marine Corps. I don't know about you all but I am as proud if not prouder than I was while on Active duty. Today's Marines are a fine bunch of young warriors and are doing a great job in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world. I have occasion to talk with a few almost on a weekly basis and they never cease to amaze me. They are well trained and have much better gear than we did in Nam or ever dreamt of and are Gung Ho, just like we were. As long as we have young people like these to volunteer for our Corps, and our Marine family no matter how old we may be I know that our country is in good hands no matter who the president may be.

Have a wonderful and safe Marine Corps Birthday, we want you to stay safe and my God watch over you so you can celebrate next year.with us here at home Thanks for your service. God bless America our troops and, God Bless The Marine Corps - HAPPY 233rd BIRTHDAY MARINES

Semper Fi,
Robert Cody
