Hey Jason, Welcome to My VFW Networks. Thank you for your service to this nation. I served with a man from Lubbock, Texas in early 70s and havent been able to contact him since. He served on the USS White Plains with me. I know Lubbock is a big place - his dad had an insurance agency and last name was Butler. My shipmates name was Gordon Butler. I have tried several times over the years to do a search but I end up with so many Gordon Butlers that it is overwhelming. I have sent e-mails to some that I thought might fit but none were ever answered.
