I am trying to start up a program in Massachusetts "Adopt a Post" and it would involve Posts that have a Building inviting posts that have no Building to basicly move in. I am extending you that offer to move into my post. This is an open ended offer and you can take your time and talk it over with your post. You can contact me any time 1-774-279-2858 Dan Wetherbee.

Thanks for your kind words, Don. I saw pictures of the VFW storyboard in front of the CVS and the presentation looks fantastic. Kudos to you and Christina for doing such a fine job gathering the information and collecting the authentic patches for public display. The presentation has an aura of authenticity and creates a real sense of history.

We're very glad to report that my Dad made it back into the pool yesterday and swam 25 laps. We're relieved to see him making those smooth UDT swimmer's strokes again seven months after his hospitalization for another kind of stroke. It is a milestone for the former Marine and your fellow VFW member.

Thanks, Don - and credit to you for the "wondrous idea" that led to creating the display! I am glad Post members could see their names - thank you for providing me with the list! I hope the children who stopped to view the display felt the silent pull of history as they read off the names, places, and units, and saw the patches that belong to the men who have helped preserve our freedom. I am humbled by their service, and proud to make my little contribution!.

Thank you for your comment. It's nice to know another "brother" and we are "brothers" in several ways! Sorry for the recent loss of your companion dog. I have not been very active in the Lodge or Shrine because I am so busy with the VFW and my wife and I do a music ministry. In fact, we did music at the Shriner's dinner last Saturday. Hope you are well. Sam

Hi Don... Re: John Barleycorn... Discovered tonight that when using Southern Comfort to make an Old Fashioned, there's absolutely no way to screw it up. Tried twice so far. Might have to make the 3rd attempt the charm! ;)
